Repairable is a small design and engineering office with a focus on open-source machine design in the cross-over space between art and engineering.

Past clients include the Vrije Universiteit Brussels, several fablabs, Beyond.io for Boekenbeurs, Tuborg and Walter Van Beirendonck, stad Roeselare, KASK, Pilar, lasercut.be and Productontwikkeling werkplaats Kortrijk.

OWNER

ir. arch. Lieven Standaert has 15 years of experience in mechatronics and prototyping. He teaches part-time at the VUB where he built the fablab of the engineering department from a 2-printer-and-a-lasercutter-sized room to a 1500 m² student workshop with a broad machine park.
